I have no internet access at home (because NTL sucks donkey's dangly bits).

Haven't had since Sunday. It was *very* intermittent before that.

Words cannot express how awful this is. The amount of stuff I have got done! *g*

I never realised how much time I spend arsing about online until now.

You had BETTER make them credit you for the time you couldn't be online.

And what did you get done?

I have tidied the bedroom of doom, repaired, filled and painted the hellishly high ceiling between the kitchen and bathroom, drawn up designs for the cupboard I am going to build in there, completed about a 1/5th of my craft project...

...and watched approximately 20 eps of The West Wing while doing so. Also a spot of writing but not so much of that. All while working every single day since the net service went off.

I would have to make a pact with Satan to get a refund from these people. They are the minions of Satan's minions.

I always feel better talking to them anyway, and then writing mean letters to the head of customer service including the names of the minions I talked to to generally cause them trouble. I am cranky.

I have also been known to report to government bureaus and things like the Better Business Bureau about how shitty various vendors are.

I have received ass-kissing sometimes and free service and record albums for this. It sometimes works, especially if you threaten to blacken their reputation in the marketplace.

Plus it's evil fun. And I think your ability to insult without actually using swear words would get you the right kind of attention. People like to help clever people.

And GO YOU! On the accomplishments.

What craft project?U

Yes, the amount of worthwhile and creative projects I can accomplish without access to the web is astounding, too. Boring enough to send me to an early grave, but at least the socks will be mated and the dryer's lint drawer cleaned. During the illustrious 'no tree left standing' ice storm in February I went two weeks without a phone line, and I have never been more irritatingly productive. Still, I never built cabinets (mainly because every time I've handled a saw someone in the vicinity has lost a lot of blood), so go you! I'm extremely impressed.

I want to be in London today. Is it gorgeous there? Are you eating chocolate on my behalf? *g*

It's gorgeous, although tomorrow it's May Day, so we're dancing around flagpoles and *rioting* against the evil capitalists. Apparently. < g >

Would you like chocolate? Am happy to send.

Man! That sucks!

On the other hand, getting things accomplished is of the good.

I was thinking you'd been remarkably quiet lately. Good luck getting NTL to fix things.

I hope you don't mind me saying this, but I really wish you wouldn't. I'd be happy to make you one from Bad Blood but I'd rather like to save this one for myself.

No problem, I respect that. :)

Though I still think it's one of the best icons I've ever come across.
