Spread some love?

There's storm-force crappity blowing in, with fresh fronts of whatEVAH moving in from the south, bringing with them a frisson of meh. This is displeasing. Today, in the midst of all the meh, someone said very nice things to me and while it didn't transform my week or suddenly make me fart strawberry flavoured and have passing songbirds whistling Beautiful Day in time to my tippy-tappy footsteps, it was very, very nice. I'd like to pass the feeling on.

I always liked the idea of that snaps cup meme except they're always hosted in the LJ of someone I don't know from Adam about how someone writes TEH BEST Black Beauty/Skippy the Kangaroo crossover slash. Well, I exaggerate because of the meh, but you know what I mean. Instead let us have some love about people I give a bugger about
(or indeed, people I don't give a bugger about. I don't mind if I don't know you. It's all good).

Let us reduce the perilously high ambient level of crappity. Here's how it works:
1. Comment with your username or someone else's
2. Post a link to your comment on your own LJ, so that your friends will know where to find you -- or just point them in this direction so they can say good things and have good things said about them
3. People can reply to your comment with reasons why the individual concerned is Donna-like in his or her gorgeousness

IP logging is off. Anonymity enabled. No name will get no comments, promise.

(ETA caveat removed and to explain that I have had a good day. My boss said really good things about and to me and I am getting an unasked for raise, so I am not in need of further nice things. Which is not to say it's not *great* to hear but I wanted to host, in an invisible sort of way, a carnival of love)

Son of ETA: There's a p2 now, SHE HINTED. You could spread the love even further in a non-icky sort of way. I am off for a kip now. Be excellent to one another and feel free to add your name to the end of the thing.

ETA, the revenge: On p3 now. Please feel free to carry on. Incapable of sentences sodding coherent I am, so you'll have to amuse yourselves

You are funny and smart and cool and did I mention funny? And also a talented writer, and I wish you were in my current fandom(s).

I don't know what I would do without your perspective on fandom. And your fannish enabling is a great thing, even when it's for fandoms I have no interest in. It's still great to watch.

You're a terrific writer, even though our fandoms do not often coincide; you're a great part of the fannish infrastructure; you're witty and wise and fair - the three do not always go together. You know about scores of things and your posts on fandom foolishness never fail to make me laugh.

I love your wit and intelligence, and I love that you can mock fandom's foibles with razor-sharp snark without ever getting mean or losing your deep affection for the whole crazy enterprise.

You have shiny shiny Dawn hair and need to live closer to me. Also, you provide RECS! SHINY SHINY RECS! And you are not Shrift! Not that being Shrift would be bad, but you're not!

Can't tell you how nice it was to meet you in London when you were here. Your presence online makes the internets a better place, whether it's posting stories, making the fannish world a better place or pointing out foolishness.

I don't even remember when we met. You're part of my daily life, a Buffista and an LJ friend and I love your posts and your fic and when you rec me I want to dance around the room. You give to fandom in all the best ways, but you're not complacent or self-righteous about it, and your snark is a thing of beauty. As is your banter and your porn.

And I know the difference between you & shrift. *grins*

You are one of the sanest, I-do-not-allow-fandom-to-make-me-nuts people I know. I would give... oh, let's say an ovary, since I've got two and all... to have your apparent level of calm.

Aside from the myriad other reasons you are awesome, you introduced me to Joe Flanigan, a guitar, and a dog. And that made me very happy :)

Your enthusiasm, writing skill, and levelheadedness make me wish I shared more fandoms with you. Fortunately (or not?), Polyamorous Recs has tempted me into reading stories in many a fandom I know nothing about.

Oh! And though I've forgotten all the music theory I ever learned, I appreciate your intelligent music posts.

Funny! Smart! Sane! (... ish! :p) Kickass writer! Fine travelling companion! You have just the right balance between fannish joy and wryness and snark.

You're an awesome writer. I love to read your posts. And I think we may've been in the same room a couple of times at Vividcon, but I've never met you face-to-face, though I'd love to.
