Spread some love?

There's storm-force crappity blowing in, with fresh fronts of whatEVAH moving in from the south, bringing with them a frisson of meh. This is displeasing. Today, in the midst of all the meh, someone said very nice things to me and while it didn't transform my week or suddenly make me fart strawberry flavoured and have passing songbirds whistling Beautiful Day in time to my tippy-tappy footsteps, it was very, very nice. I'd like to pass the feeling on.

I always liked the idea of that snaps cup meme except they're always hosted in the LJ of someone I don't know from Adam about how someone writes TEH BEST Black Beauty/Skippy the Kangaroo crossover slash. Well, I exaggerate because of the meh, but you know what I mean. Instead let us have some love about people I give a bugger about
(or indeed, people I don't give a bugger about. I don't mind if I don't know you. It's all good).

Let us reduce the perilously high ambient level of crappity. Here's how it works:
1. Comment with your username or someone else's
2. Post a link to your comment on your own LJ, so that your friends will know where to find you -- or just point them in this direction so they can say good things and have good things said about them
3. People can reply to your comment with reasons why the individual concerned is Donna-like in his or her gorgeousness

IP logging is off. Anonymity enabled. No name will get no comments, promise.

(ETA caveat removed and to explain that I have had a good day. My boss said really good things about and to me and I am getting an unasked for raise, so I am not in need of further nice things. Which is not to say it's not *great* to hear but I wanted to host, in an invisible sort of way, a carnival of love)

Son of ETA: There's a p2 now, SHE HINTED. You could spread the love even further in a non-icky sort of way. I am off for a kip now. Be excellent to one another and feel free to add your name to the end of the thing.

ETA, the revenge: On p3 now. Please feel free to carry on. Incapable of sentences sodding coherent I am, so you'll have to amuse yourselves

You will also get your turn, missy. You are made of awesome. I always wish you posted more because when you do you always have so many things worth reading. You're so brilliantly dry and sarky, you have seriously excellent taste in music, and you're a steadfast, generous friend.

Miss Caz
And you, darling cazling... Shockingly smart, always funny, sweet, and a good friend. And CUTE! I am so glad to have you in my life.

ANNNNNNDDDDD, you are a ridiculously brilliant writer. When I first met you, you were what...10 or something? And yet you wrote more gorgeous stories than most 30 year-olds in the fandom. Your poetry absolutely stuns me with its beauty and grace. Someday I predict you will be famous for your talent.

Your tales of work and life just scratch the surface of how awesome you are. I mean, seriously, the Queen and Camilla should have stopped their motorcade to prostrate themselves before YOU. You are that badass!

Re: infinitemonkeys
You know, I don't really know you, but I've always enjoyed your writing, and listening to you (well, reading you) talk on various mailing lists back in the day. It seems odd to me that I've never friended you, because I'm always happy to see you around. Having said that, I'm friending you!

Re: Caz
First I read and loved your writing -- so beautifully crafted and filled with genuine emotion -- then I got to know you as a person and loved you as a friend, even if you were but a wee whippersnapper at the time. :-)

I've had a rare chance to see you grow, but I'd never state cloyingly that I got to see you turn into a woman, because you were already a smart, talented, self-confident woman when we first met online all those years ago.

I admire the hell out of you, and I'm proud of all your accomplishments.

That's very nice of you. I was glad to see you about and posting again. The world online is always a better place with you in it

Re: infinitemonkeys
You have the sort of life that seems made up in fiction and that I could only dream about having, but it's real and written about smartly and amusingly. I'm glad to have gotten to know you on LJ.

You are a fantastically bright, articulate, and generous soul, Caz, and I feel like being able to glimpse your world (real and imagined) through your words is a wonderful blessing. I still carry some of your stories around in my heart, and I look forward to reading more and more of your creative work for many years to come.
