Spread some love?

There's storm-force crappity blowing in, with fresh fronts of whatEVAH moving in from the south, bringing with them a frisson of meh. This is displeasing. Today, in the midst of all the meh, someone said very nice things to me and while it didn't transform my week or suddenly make me fart strawberry flavoured and have passing songbirds whistling Beautiful Day in time to my tippy-tappy footsteps, it was very, very nice. I'd like to pass the feeling on.

I always liked the idea of that snaps cup meme except they're always hosted in the LJ of someone I don't know from Adam about how someone writes TEH BEST Black Beauty/Skippy the Kangaroo crossover slash. Well, I exaggerate because of the meh, but you know what I mean. Instead let us have some love about people I give a bugger about
(or indeed, people I don't give a bugger about. I don't mind if I don't know you. It's all good).

Let us reduce the perilously high ambient level of crappity. Here's how it works:
1. Comment with your username or someone else's
2. Post a link to your comment on your own LJ, so that your friends will know where to find you -- or just point them in this direction so they can say good things and have good things said about them
3. People can reply to your comment with reasons why the individual concerned is Donna-like in his or her gorgeousness

IP logging is off. Anonymity enabled. No name will get no comments, promise.

(ETA caveat removed and to explain that I have had a good day. My boss said really good things about and to me and I am getting an unasked for raise, so I am not in need of further nice things. Which is not to say it's not *great* to hear but I wanted to host, in an invisible sort of way, a carnival of love)

Son of ETA: There's a p2 now, SHE HINTED. You could spread the love even further in a non-icky sort of way. I am off for a kip now. Be excellent to one another and feel free to add your name to the end of the thing.

ETA, the revenge: On p3 now. Please feel free to carry on. Incapable of sentences sodding coherent I am, so you'll have to amuse yourselves

Many congrats on the good talk with your boss and the unasked-for raise. That's just fabulous (and I'm sure well-deserved). Go you!

You're doing a lovely thing by spreading the love.

Your turn, Viv...
You were the one of the first fic writers I really fell in love with back in the day. I was so afraid to send you feedback because you were a BNF. But you were so friendly to the frightened newbie. You are still one of the most talented, kindest, smartest people I know. Can't wait to see you at the end of the month!

You didn't throw your name into the snap cup, vivwiley, but you're getting told anyway that you're wonderful. I'm so glad you moved more nearby.

I am absolutely DYING to meet you!

I know you will be just as awesome IRL as you are online.

I'd need about 1,000 haikus
You are the best of everything. I thank every Higher Power you and I met with our earliest baby stories! Where would I be without Viv in my life? Somewhere a lot less wonderful.

Even if you hate our winters, I'll never, ever be unhappy that my whacky little burg has become your home. We should hang semaphore flags out our office windows, just because we can. You are an oasis of sanity amidst utter chaos, and I am happy to know you.

I just love you. For so many many reasons.

You've got a huge heart and are a wonderful, caring person. You're filled with passion and it shows through everything you do. Plus your super-smart and write the best fic! I hope one day I can make it up your way for a visit.

Oh Viv. You are so much better than I am, and I mean that in the best ways. You work to make the world a better place, and tell us lovely stories about your travels and your job and your growing-up years and your lovely parents!

If I had to turn my life over to someone else for safekeeping, you'd be the person I'd choose. You're so full of wisdom, my friend. You are centered in a way that draws people to you, and I just wish I had a chance to spend more time with you.

It's been a lovely thing to see the messages come in. I am glad you put yourself up for a defacto, imaginary lovefest, however unintentionally. Many people want to tell you that you're splendid. Me among them.
