Spread some love?

There's storm-force crappity blowing in, with fresh fronts of whatEVAH moving in from the south, bringing with them a frisson of meh. This is displeasing. Today, in the midst of all the meh, someone said very nice things to me and while it didn't transform my week or suddenly make me fart strawberry flavoured and have passing songbirds whistling Beautiful Day in time to my tippy-tappy footsteps, it was very, very nice. I'd like to pass the feeling on.

I always liked the idea of that snaps cup meme except they're always hosted in the LJ of someone I don't know from Adam about how someone writes TEH BEST Black Beauty/Skippy the Kangaroo crossover slash. Well, I exaggerate because of the meh, but you know what I mean. Instead let us have some love about people I give a bugger about
(or indeed, people I don't give a bugger about. I don't mind if I don't know you. It's all good).

Let us reduce the perilously high ambient level of crappity. Here's how it works:
1. Comment with your username or someone else's
2. Post a link to your comment on your own LJ, so that your friends will know where to find you -- or just point them in this direction so they can say good things and have good things said about them
3. People can reply to your comment with reasons why the individual concerned is Donna-like in his or her gorgeousness

IP logging is off. Anonymity enabled. No name will get no comments, promise.

(ETA caveat removed and to explain that I have had a good day. My boss said really good things about and to me and I am getting an unasked for raise, so I am not in need of further nice things. Which is not to say it's not *great* to hear but I wanted to host, in an invisible sort of way, a carnival of love)

Son of ETA: There's a p2 now, SHE HINTED. You could spread the love even further in a non-icky sort of way. I am off for a kip now. Be excellent to one another and feel free to add your name to the end of the thing.

ETA, the revenge: On p3 now. Please feel free to carry on. Incapable of sentences sodding coherent I am, so you'll have to amuse yourselves

Because one can never have enough love, right?

I reflect your wonder right back at you. I was so happy to learn that the author whose writing I adored and swooned over was such a lovely person and good friend. It's got to be the sign of genuine appreciation of the person to feed back on fic and to chat and schmooze as friends and then learn later than the two are the same person.

(Well, that or a sign that I'm an utter idiot.)

You are devoted to your family, exceptionally kind, and a genuinely decent person, and I'm very glad to know you.

Everything you wrote in my thread I could write in yours, times two. I always knew you as a talented writer, but I'm simply blown away by what an incredible person you are. Thank you for your friendship and for inspiring me daily.

You know all the good places to go (and how to get there!) and you are involved in trying to make this city and community a better place, which is something I don't take at all lightly. I'm so glad that coming to this town has given us an opportunity to get to know each other and become friends.

p.s. It's not the winters I hate - it's the "Springs"

I think your family and your colleagues are lucky to have someone so strong and straightforward and smart.

You make me wish I was closer to my sisters. I know your relationship with yours isn't always perfect, but there's just so MUCH of it, and it fills so many corners of your lives. I envy that, but I do so love hearing about them all. I feel like I'm in a corner of the kitchen with you all, watching and listening.

I adore your strength and your wisdom and your sense of humor and your kindness. And your awesome BIG BLUE EYE.

Your humor and insight are always wonderful to read. You're smart beyond words and know the best way to handle sensitive matters.

YOu know, what Dasha said below.

I have always admired your writing, but that you're such an admirable PERSON as well is just so AWESOME!

You just rock. Your love for the Tiny Queen (and the rest of the family, of course) knows no bounds, and we get to share in it! You are such a good writer, both fictional and personal, and so funny and genuinely nice, with a dash of snark to make you not so perfect, 'cause that would just be annoying. *g*

C, you are *brilliant*, you are kind-hearted, and you have been one of the constants of my online universe for years and years. (Notice I didn't use the word 'touchstone', but I thought about it. *g*)

You also showed me how to be a devoted auntie, and I'm eternally grateful.

When I'm at the grocery store and I see pears, I think of you. :)

I love the way you tell a story, on paper and in person. You're warm and strong. What a combo.

Re: :: tosses hat in the ring ::
You're warm, engaging, remarkable, fair and funny. I think you write gorgeously, though you're kinder to the characters than I would ever be. I get a strong sense of justice and of family from you; your LJ gives a real idea of who you are and what you believe in, and both those things would only make the world think even better of you than it does already.

Re: :: tosses hat in the ring ::
You've helped give me direction both literally on streets and figuratively in life. All while being wicked kind, smart, and funny.

Plus, you know everybody everywhere and that's handy and amusing.

I am so glad to know you, even over the intarweb. You are so damn intelligent and perceptive and funny. Also, you share your family with us through your writing, and you probably don't even realize what a pleasure that is for me. (For many of your friends, I'm sure.)
