Spread some love?

There's storm-force crappity blowing in, with fresh fronts of whatEVAH moving in from the south, bringing with them a frisson of meh. This is displeasing. Today, in the midst of all the meh, someone said very nice things to me and while it didn't transform my week or suddenly make me fart strawberry flavoured and have passing songbirds whistling Beautiful Day in time to my tippy-tappy footsteps, it was very, very nice. I'd like to pass the feeling on.

I always liked the idea of that snaps cup meme except they're always hosted in the LJ of someone I don't know from Adam about how someone writes TEH BEST Black Beauty/Skippy the Kangaroo crossover slash. Well, I exaggerate because of the meh, but you know what I mean. Instead let us have some love about people I give a bugger about
(or indeed, people I don't give a bugger about. I don't mind if I don't know you. It's all good).

Let us reduce the perilously high ambient level of crappity. Here's how it works:
1. Comment with your username or someone else's
2. Post a link to your comment on your own LJ, so that your friends will know where to find you -- or just point them in this direction so they can say good things and have good things said about them
3. People can reply to your comment with reasons why the individual concerned is Donna-like in his or her gorgeousness

IP logging is off. Anonymity enabled. No name will get no comments, promise.

(ETA caveat removed and to explain that I have had a good day. My boss said really good things about and to me and I am getting an unasked for raise, so I am not in need of further nice things. Which is not to say it's not *great* to hear but I wanted to host, in an invisible sort of way, a carnival of love)

Son of ETA: There's a p2 now, SHE HINTED. You could spread the love even further in a non-icky sort of way. I am off for a kip now. Be excellent to one another and feel free to add your name to the end of the thing.

ETA, the revenge: On p3 now. Please feel free to carry on. Incapable of sentences sodding coherent I am, so you'll have to amuse yourselves

Re: Nominee
You have broken my heart so many times with your brilliant writing that I've lost count. But more than that, you're just a wonderful person. I love how you're interested in everything and that you are kind-hearted and incredibly loyal to your friends. I would be you if I could.

Re: Nominee
Oh HELL yes.

Your immense writing talent makes me alternately swoon and weep, your wry humor makes me smirk and laugh, and your thoughtful, loving dedication to family and friends makes me happy to know you and call you friend.

Now if we could just forget about that ham...

Re: Nominee
My very favorite evil twin! My dear, I simply do not know what I would have done without you these past ten (10?) years. You have been a comfort and a joy to me since the day we met. I am awed by your courage and your clear-sighted way of seeing the world. I would not be surprised to find that you can do magic, and if you told me that clover sprang up when you walked or that bees whispered in your ear I would think, "but of course, she's JET!"

I hope we have many road trips, many fried biscuits, and many Ermin's lunches in our future.

JET
I don't think my praises for your brilliant writing add much of anything, but I have always admired it.

But what I like most is hearing about your LIFE and the people in it and the town your from and all the stuff that makes up YOU. The being overwhelmed with cleaning the house, which makes me feel better for feeling the same... all that stuff.

Your goodness just shines through in your daily life, and that's just shows how special you are. I am proud to know you.

Re: Nominee
When you're a JET, you're smart, wry and your daily observations are amusing and insightful. When you're a JET, you're a poet in your prose. When you're a JET, you like to give stuff away, which, well, that's nice for the rest of us. *g* Also, you are cute as a button. Smooch!

Re: Nominee
I want to step inside the world you write about because it's perfectly and recognisably our own but also shot through with such magic and beauty even in the darkest corners. And besides that you are another of those who walsk through life with a grace and good humour I can only hope to emulate. You send wonderful things through the post and I am eternally gutted that in one of the many moves of the last few years I lost an amazing little red velvet hat with a veil that you sent me in a box of delights!

Re: Nominee
jeviltwin is a genius. She sees the world uniquely, askew and through brightly colored prisms, but sees it more clearly and rightly than others for all that. She uses her awesome powers for good but in a way that is a bit scary.

Re: Nominee
If I was as crazy talented with words as jeviltwin, I would know just what to say about her utter awesomeness. Instead, I will just say that I adore her devotion to Halloween and BRANES and Big Red.

She's so abundantly creative and, yes, absolutely good and brilliant.

Re: Nominee
Sure, you're witty and unique and a wonderfully talented storyteller. But that's not even half of it. Your love of place and people, especially your friends and family, shines through your words, even the acerbic ones. I'm sure that they love you for it -- I know I do.
