Spread some love?

There's storm-force crappity blowing in, with fresh fronts of whatEVAH moving in from the south, bringing with them a frisson of meh. This is displeasing. Today, in the midst of all the meh, someone said very nice things to me and while it didn't transform my week or suddenly make me fart strawberry flavoured and have passing songbirds whistling Beautiful Day in time to my tippy-tappy footsteps, it was very, very nice. I'd like to pass the feeling on.

I always liked the idea of that snaps cup meme except they're always hosted in the LJ of someone I don't know from Adam about how someone writes TEH BEST Black Beauty/Skippy the Kangaroo crossover slash. Well, I exaggerate because of the meh, but you know what I mean. Instead let us have some love about people I give a bugger about
(or indeed, people I don't give a bugger about. I don't mind if I don't know you. It's all good).

Let us reduce the perilously high ambient level of crappity. Here's how it works:
1. Comment with your username or someone else's
2. Post a link to your comment on your own LJ, so that your friends will know where to find you -- or just point them in this direction so they can say good things and have good things said about them
3. People can reply to your comment with reasons why the individual concerned is Donna-like in his or her gorgeousness

IP logging is off. Anonymity enabled. No name will get no comments, promise.

(ETA caveat removed and to explain that I have had a good day. My boss said really good things about and to me and I am getting an unasked for raise, so I am not in need of further nice things. Which is not to say it's not *great* to hear but I wanted to host, in an invisible sort of way, a carnival of love)

Son of ETA: There's a p2 now, SHE HINTED. You could spread the love even further in a non-icky sort of way. I am off for a kip now. Be excellent to one another and feel free to add your name to the end of the thing.

ETA, the revenge: On p3 now. Please feel free to carry on. Incapable of sentences sodding coherent I am, so you'll have to amuse yourselves

Re: oh, fine
Peer pressure works!

You are just ridiculously smart and funny. I love your stories about your job and your family--your life seems to be really well-balanced. I only wish you still wrote fanfic. You wrote some amazingly gorgeous stories and I miss seeing new stuff from you. So glad to have you as a friend!

Re: oh, fine
Office hijinks, kids' activities, hubbies' silliness, life in a big city, your baseball team, pro cycling, your Minion... I love reading your entries because there is so much for you to talk about, and so many ways to make it amusing to me. You're raising your kids to be enthusiastic and bright and snarky. That's good stuff.

Re: oh, fine
I am way better informed because of you, and also about the how the news gets made thing.

I do wish you'd write things not for your job again.

I adore your stories of familiy life, of work, and watching things I watch!

Life is enriched by knowing you.

Re: oh, fine
I like that you were reluctant to do this. :-)

I love how you never lose your sense of proportion, even when things are scary and crazy. I love your drive and focus on finishing what you start. I love your snark under all circumstances. I love your writing, which I miss, and your journalistic integrity, which I'm privileged to witness almost daily. You have great, smart kids and that's not a coincidence. You are the bomb.

Re: oh, fine
Oh good! You are a devoted, fiercely supportive friend, and girl, you are a force to be reckoned with. I love the way you throw yourself heart and soul into the things you love, and the way you share them with us. I think you know I think you're fantastic, but I wanted to say it here just in case. You rock. *g*

Re: oh, fine
You curmudgeonly bugger; let the people say nice things about you. ;)

I love your posts because you're funny and eloquent and impatient with the stupidity of work (and occasionally life) but never unkind.

OMG, PLZ to be giving back my brane, K!

Re: oh, fine
You have an amazing and enviable ability to keep finding something to laugh (or at least snark) at in the face of the most ridiculous of pressures. Plus you are brave and resilient of spirit and you've kept on trucking through some dark times. You're the kind of level-headed, together mum I would have loved to have dealt with as a teacher and I love your stories of family life.

Re: oh, fine
Ha! Everything you have to say just seems so smart and funny. I sometimes think you work in a pit of vipers, but I am glad that at least some of the vipers fear and respect you as they should.

Re: oh, fine
You are passionate about the things you love and steadfast in your friendships. You work your ass off and keep at it even though those around you drive you nuts. You're a wonderful mom who's there for the Boy and the Hammer. And, yeah, Mr. S. And you're most awesome Kiefer companion. You totally rock.
