CC: run out of tinfoil

A long stream of barely connected thoughts, badly punctuated. (Truth in advertising!)

Many happy returns of the day to both hesychasm and sharinlilbit. Yer both ace. I hope you're having such a good time that you don't read this 'til Monday at the earliest.

Today I watched Gavin and Stacey. All day. Even the extras. Total wasted day. Not sorry. I laughed my arse off, I ate chocolate, I did my washing, I phoned my mates, I didn't go out except to get the chocolate. And a Grauniad. Then I watched Press Gang, which is thoroughly fantastic. Best ostensibly-made-for-teens show ever: funny, clever, great characters, decent plotting, real heart... as good or better than Buffy or your money back. And written by Our New Evil Sexist Overlord, which is nice.

Tomorrow, I plan to go to Richmond if it's not too cold. Oh shut up. I am allowed to be hibernatey. It's the time of year.

I'm not actually predatory, I just don't remember what the mood icon is for it. Seriously, they don't have a mood for "schadenfreude" but they have one for "predatory"? I don't think I have ever been predatory in my life.

Still haven't sorted out my sabbatical because the pound is in the toilet. My timing sucks, as ever. I have seven weeks holiday to take before Easter. You may start to hate me.... NOW.

And now, because who doesn't like a change of subject so abrupt that it gives you whiplash -- holiday cards! Would you like a Christmas holiday card from someone you barely know?

Poll #1297940 Season's greetings

if you would like a card should it be...

A Christmas card
A non-specific snow/robins/holly paganish type thing
Some random thing which K will find amusing to send me

The address (seen only by me) is...

spare bit of textiness for you to write anything you like (or add more address)

Who is the funniest comedian you've ever seen? (mine would be Jeremy Hardy, oddly)

Tick for awesome (NB, not all of these things qualify)

Clyde Langer
Me! I am!
Gavin & Stacey
Tickey box
Kia Ora (it's too ORANGEY for crows)
This season of Spooks
