Is this bloody thing on?

Tell me about your life. Tell me about songs you've heard that you like. Recommend a book.

Rescue me from a dismal Tuesday, lovely people.

Best I can muster with this hangover...
Ooh, I loved "Hotel Transylvania" - neat book!

Someone gave me this years ago and I love browsing just because of the sheer tonnage of what I don't know: "An Incomplete Education" by Judy Jones and William Wilson. Fiction-wise, I've been reccing mysteries for some reason: the Bill Smith/Lydia Chin stories by S.J. Rozan, "The Flanders Panel" by Arturo Pérez-Reverte, any and everything Ruth Rendell wrote as Barbara Vine, especially "Gallowglass," and the very long but worthwhile "An Instance of the Fingerpost" by Iain Pears (Barbara D. got me hooked on that one).

Ta.
I've got "Grasshopper" by Barbara Vine on the pile to read and An Instance of the Fingerpost. I notice that Iain Pears has a new one out, though I've not got any recollection of what the damned thing is called.

Re: Ta.
Iain Pears' new one is called The Dream of Scipio, I think. I know this because that sodding book followed me around bookshops with Ebglish book sections in Japan. Everytime I went bookshopping, there it was. I have resisted buying it...so far.
