Is this bloody thing on?

Tell me about your life. Tell me about songs you've heard that you like. Recommend a book.

Rescue me from a dismal Tuesday, lovely people.

Well. The Clan of the Cave Bear is a great book. About half of the others is quite good. The main problem is that all the interesting bits are intersperesed with lots of uninteresting graphic sex and Ayla (the main character) inveting everything short of the wheel. This last book is something of a departure in that it has a plot, isn't very repetative, has very little sex, and has some interesting round characters involved in some interesting dramas and politics. So take that for what it's worth. There's enough recapping in the book to more or less bring you up to speed without having to read anymore than Clan of the Cave Bear (very worth it) and Shelters of Stone (the fifth book). Skipping the three in the middle wouldn't hurt you at all.
