(1) Happy belated birthday to barkley and many, many happy returns to sharinlilbit. May you both have a wonderful year to come

(2) You should all download Spooks 3.06. Good grief.

(3) If lenadances and christhetoken are still interested in downloading comedy shows, they should definitely look into downloading Little Britain, which was utterly disgusting, puerile and very, very funny. Anthony Stewart Head is looking rather lovely in it. I'm not sure whether the links are the funniest thing in it or not but they crack me up all the time. "Britons, or as they are known all around the world, scum..."

There's been so much great comedy on the BBC and C4 lately. The Smoking Room has taken over from where The Office left off, though it's neither as real nor as excruciating or as ultimately affecting as that show.

Also, French and Saunders was really funny this week.

Can you tell I have no money? And that I can't afford to go out?

I have a new icon and I love it very much. It's of The Supreme Evil.

1/I adore your icon. Bwahahahahahahaha!

2/I second Little Britain. OMG. So very very funny. And Tony is lovely to look at, as always *g*

That Icon RULES!!!

And I have seen the first half of Spaced, thanks to Token and Rachel. If these others are as good, hooray!!!

I waved at your prime minister the other day. His motorcade prevented us from crossing the street to get to the dentist.

In this country it's considered de rigueur to wave while making the victory V sign, nails facing the person to whom you are waving. Did you do that? I believe you have a variant involving a single lofted digit.

I often do that when I'm on the bus past Downing Street *g*

Took me a second, but I got that. {g} If I had not prevented the Boy from stepping out into the street into the path of the oncoming motorcade, he would have gotten a positively Nixonian double victory sign.

But we were too busy gawking at the level of artillery loaded onto some of the motorcade vehicles to really care who was in the limo. Those were some impressive guns poking out of the top of the SUVs, even by our standards for impressive hardware. Wow. Both kids talked about it all day, and these are kids who yawn at Humvees with rocket launchers (seen 'em. snore).

Thank you! :)

3x06? I haven't even downloaded 3x05 yet!

Today after work I am buying a DVD reader/writer. I have cracked. I give in. I cannot bear to delete Fullmetal Alchemist from my computer because I love it with a burning passion and need to watch it OVER and OVER and OVER. And yet I need hard drive space.

Credit card companies like me. The fuckers.

I don't suppose I can wheedle you into trying an anime series about alchemy, love, betrayal, definitions of humanity, war crimes and terrorist acts sometimes committed by sympathetic characters, and the use and abuse of science?

There is an episode of FMA on my Tivo. I have yet to watch it.

I hate the dub. (Ohmygod I could not possibly be geekier. Anime dub vs. sub wars. There is nowhere lower for me to go except furrydom.)

I am thinking that while I am burning copies of the fansubs for me I will burn copies of the first four or five episodes for victims I've been eyeing anyone I think I can talk into trying it.

Okay, I give in. Discussion on (IIRC) Elynross's journal has me intrigued. Where would I DL FMA?
Dec. 11th, 2004 11:34 pm (UTC)
Hee. We were just discussing this on sisabet's journal a couple of weeks ago.

Anime-Source is probably your best bet --

-- although "Fullmetal Alchemist" is also one of the named subcategories under "Anime" on suprnova.org.

Also, I am done with my burning to DVD, which means all the mpegs etc. have been painfully & slowly converted and then deleted to clear up hard drive space -- but if all else fails, I can mail you the AVIs on a couple of DVDs.

Also, I am now four or five weeks behind on Spooks. Eek!

By the time I get home I will have Spooks 306 on my computer. Will watch later tonight. Don't tell me the situation continues to deteriorate! I don't think I can take it!

Love the icon. I need to find me a copy of Time Bandits.

And I have downloaded 3.06. It still doesn't help that I have 3.04, and 3.05 ahead of it to watch. I suppose I can take care of all that tonight. Who needs sleep? And to do things other than watching TV? As you so rightly pointed out, it cost money to go out.

Hey, I suck and I missed your birthday! I'll have to write you something for it. ::ponders::
Nov. 15th, 2004 06:13 pm (UTC)
I. Love. Your. Icon.
Nov. 15th, 2004 07:03 pm (UTC)
Best Icon EVER.

I saw 306! Argh! ::tears hair::

OTOH, Danny was marvelous (again). He's my new woobie, I think.
